Camera Chronicles: Specific Gravity

August 2011

This suspended-boulder rain fountain called "Specific Gravity" by Reginald Yuson,  is one of the architectural features of Bonifacio High Street. He says, "The huge suspended boulder defying the natural order of things, invites the audience to contemplate their relation to the sculpture's surroundings through their affinity with gravity. Why I Love Rainy Tuesdays

Today, I woke up with a smile. No sun, no heat, and best of all, I can find the safest excuse why I want to stay indoors for the day. Days like this makes me appreciate more the little things that I already have.

Weather like this makes me appreciate why coffee should remain hot.

One of the advantages of being a Bookworm?
You will never run out of something to read. And yes, I'm a Charlaine Harris fan.

And my 3 phones, which connects my boring life to the world.

1. Red Samsung - Globe / business phone
2. Iphone - i use it mainly for watching movies and series and of course, as an iPod.
3. Palm treo - a hand-me-down which i use  for my Sun line and Facebook.

Weather is a great metaphor for life - sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, and there's nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella.  ~Terri Guillemets

Enjoy the cold tuesday everyone.:)

Camera Chronicles: Beginner's catch

So i don't actually own a camera and my dearest father has one, but he does not know how to use it. He prefers using point and shoot types, which is obviously a lot simplier than his dslr. And as his favorite daughter (ehem!), i took the responsibility of taking care of his dslr and make use of the good in it. Voila! I'm now the caretaker-slash-user of his Nikon d3000.

I've had it for quite sometime and had taken a few pictures already but I am still a noob also when it comes to editing photos. And since today is Sunday and my family has decided to stay at home instead of our usual weekend farm trips, i will spend the day practicing tricks and reading tutorials about photography.

For now, i will be out but fret not because I'll be sharing some of my favorite takes with you.

WITH EDITS:

taken at our garden. how one part was shadowed by
another plant adds drama to the photo itself. Used HDR-ish effect.

a bunch of dried grass, where a portion of it is lighten up by the sun.
                                                              Used Orton-ish effect.

NO EDITS:
at a local beach. This rubber floatees are to be rented for 10 pesos/hour.

My favorite. Everything in this photo is perfect. The sun's lighting, the color of the leaves.
Thus, No need to edit.

Happy Sunday everyone!:)

First Post

I am an avid fan of reading online blogs especially from nikki tiu and tara cabullo . And these two great girls had inspired me to make my own blog. Thus, Senya's diaries was born today. I had actually contemplated a long time ago to start my own blog but don't have the ample time to  conceptualize and put it into work. Unlike my multiply and tumblr accounts, this blog will be my first online diary where i will post everything i love, i hate, things i obsess with and the really random thoughts that i want to share with the world. All i can promise is that, this little space in the giant worldwide web will contain not only my thoughts and opinions, but will mirror also what my heart and soul feels.

And since i don't have any followers yet, I welcome my self to this blogging world and i hope you enjoy the adventures of a girl who once lived inside the closet ( really?no, not literally!) but is now taking the challenge of exploring the world and sharing with you everything she finds in it.
